Sweet Potato and Brie Crostini with Candied Nuts

Sweet Potato and Brie Crostini with Candied Nuts

This sweet potato and brie crostini with candied nuts is absolutely delicious and easy to make appetizer you can easily prepare for your guests. The sweetness of the potato combined with creamy brie cheese and crunchy caramelized nuts is absolutely divine. These simple yet beautiful treats will definitely become a hit! Give them a try!
Although baguette is traditionally used for crostini, you can use any type of bread you have on hand. For this particular recipe, I've used 5 seed whole grain baguette (the extra crunchiness of this bread is amazing!) but, of course, you can choose a classic white baguette instead.

Sweet Potato and Brie Crostini with Candied Nuts with Torch

Caramelized nuts are definitely what gives this recipe its unique flavor. A nice combination of chopped walnuts and peanuts will be just perfect (you can use some other nuts but I find these best when caramelized). A pinch of cinnamon will do wonders when combined with a mashed sweet potato while creamy cheese will finish the overall taste of this lovely appetizer. Finish everything with Zen Spirit kitchen torch and serve immediately. Enjoy!
