Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp almonds, finely chopped
  • 1 ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup white chocolate chunks
  • 2 tbsp matcha green tea

DIRECTIONS

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line some parchment paper over a baking pan and set aside.

    In a medium-sized bowl, combine all-purpose flour with matcha green tea, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and butter. Beat well on high speed for 2-3 minutes, or until light and fluffy.

    Now add dry ingredients and continue to beat for 3 more minutes. Finally, add almonds and chocolate chunks. Beat well again, for one minute.

    Using an ice cream scoop or a spoon, scoop out cookie dough onto baking sheet. The mixture will give you 20 cookies. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool to a room temperature.

These crispy chocolate cookies remind me of my childhood and vivid memories of the magical aroma in the kitchen. I like to prepare them with creamy white chocolate, matcha green tea powder, and finely chopped almonds.

These lovely green cookies with melting chocolate filling are definitely one of my favorite snack recipes. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare them and you've got a fabulous snack to go or a quick dessert for unexpected guests.

The creamy chocolate filling can be replaced with finely chopped figs, apples, walnuts, or hazelnuts for an even healthier option. Whatever you decide, I'm sure you will love it.

For this recipe, I have chosen finely chopped almonds. They are famous for their extreme nutrition values and health benefits. Almonds are a valuable source of protein, fiber, and healthy fats.

Furthermore, these tasty nuts contain generous amounts of magnesium and vitamin E. They are known for the ability to reduce appetite and help weight loss.
