In a large, heavy-bottomed pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add marshmallows and gently melt over low heat. When marshmallows have completely melted, stir in puffed rice, matcha green tea powder, and green food coloring.
Give it a good stir and remove from the heat. Let the mixture cool for a while and then shape Grinch heads. Use M&M’s to create eyes and optionally some other food coloring to draw mouth, nose, and eyebrows.
Cool completely before serving.
