Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp Zen Spirit Psyllium Husk Powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Low-carb pizza sauce, optional topping
  • Shredded mozzarella, optional topping
  • Fresh basil, optional topping

Utensils

  • Mixing bowl
  • Round baking pan
  • Parchment paper

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a medium baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  • In a medium bowl, combine together almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, salt, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well and then add boiling water. Vigorously mix for a couple of minutes or until a sticky dough has been formed. Working with your hands, knead the dough to form a ball. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

  • Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan. Flatten the dough with your hands to create a pizza crust. Poke the crust with a fork to prevent bubbling. Brush the edges with olive oil to prevent them from burning.

  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown and firm.

  • Optionally, brush the crust with low-carb pizza sauce and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella or some other toppings of choice and bake for another 5 minutes.

Most of the recipes for low-carb pizza crust contain tons of butter or some other fat which will give you a nice and crispy crust but you will also end up with an extremely greasy dough that is not as delicious as you would expect.
