  • ¼ cup Zen Spirit cacao powder
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    In a medium bowl, combine together sugar, cacao powder, and milk. Using a hand mixer, beat on medium speed for 3-4 minutes or until fully incorporated.

    Now, add heavy cream and vanilla extract. Continue to beat until smooth.

    Transfer the mixture to a plastic container with an airtight lid and freeze overnight.

Cacao Ice Cream Serving

For a vegan option, you can replace heavy cream with some coconut cream and replace regular milk with your favorite plant-based milk (we definitely recommend unsweetened almond milk because of its neutral taste).

Add one teaspoon of vanilla extract for a little extra flavor and freeze your ice cream overnight for the best results. It can stand in the freezer up to 3 months which makes an excellent option for a delicious and refreshing summer dessert.
